The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (known as CPSIA, the “Act”) officially approved on 14 August 2008 became the public law 110-314 of the United States. The Act aims to establish consumer product safety standards and other safety requirements for children’s products and to reauthorise and modernise the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

 Pursuant to Sec. 102 of CPSIA, certain children’s products shall be subject to mandatory third party testing in CPSC-accredited labs to obtain conformity certificate. Early in June 2011, our lab passed the recognition of CPSC and obtain CPSC certificate. In other words, C&K Testing has been authorised by CPSC to perform professional testing on consumer products (including textiles, plastics, rubber, toys and children’s products).
